From actively resisting the National Front and the far-right, to standing against apartheid and speaking out against Islamophobia and anti-Semitism. His record speaks for itself.
This latest attack represents an attack not just on one person, but on the whole left. As statements of support come in from across the world, we add our voice to them. We are part of a truly international movement for justice, and to rid our society from racism and the conditions that create division in the first place.
We are part of a determined effort to resurrect a left-wing challenge to a failing system, here and globally. Within that effort there are debates about strategy and tactics, and on party affiliations. But there are matters of principle too. We stand with Jeremy, as he has stood with our movement for decades.
